Adult Height Estimator
The adult-height output is a statistical estimate based on user-entered information and a published method. Accuracy depends on measurement quality, the method's assumptions and the individual's genetics, health, nutrition, environment and growth pattern. Actual adult height may differ materially from the estimate.
PHV and maturity-offset estimate
The maturity-offset calculation provides an estimate of possible timing before or after Peak Height Velocity. It is not a direct measurement of puberty, skeletal age, biological maturity or injury risk. The underlying equation has recognised individual and population limitations.
Training and workload decisions
The estimates must not be used alone to increase, reduce or prescribe training load. Decisions should consider the child's health, pain, injury history, movement competency, training age, sport demands, current workload, supervision, sleep, recovery and qualified professional judgement.
Health, pain and development concerns
Seek advice from an appropriately qualified GP, paediatrician, sports physician, physiotherapist, accredited practising dietitian or other relevant professional concerning growth, puberty, persistent pain, injury, nutrition or development.
No guarantee of injury prevention
Knowing or estimating PHV does not guarantee that injury will be prevented. PHV information is only one possible monitoring signal and should be interpreted together with symptoms, movement, workload and professional assessment.
User responsibility
The user is responsible for entering accurate measurements, having appropriate authority to enter information concerning a child and interpreting outputs responsibly. The tool should not be used to label, select, exclude or rank a child.
